Now we can all spend the weekend asking “will she?” or “won’t she?” for the umpteenth time.
The new video released by SarahPAC looks, smells, and quacks like a full-fledged campaign spot.
Shushannah Walshe, writing for ABC’s “The Note” is convinced.
“It sure looks like she’s running,” Walshe writes.
Round and round and round she goes, where she’ll stop, nobody knows.
But by releasing the video on the quietest Friday afternoon of the summer, Sarah assures that once again she’ll be the talk of cable and the blogs through the weekend.

She’s running. No doubt about it. The big rally on September 3rd is on the 3rd anniversary of her speech at the GOP convention. Everything is planned.

Well, if so she’ll have to quit Fake News and then let the battle begin between GOP primary candidates, should be great entertainment……Sarah won’t mind mud fighting. She may also think she can run as a tea party independent if she doesn’t get the GOP bid. Fine by me, let her divide her messed up party and give Obama a second term. Funny, I thought when I watched her on Hannity that she was all fired up and delivering what sounded like a campaign spiel. Of course, it’s hard to guess if she knew at the time she delivered it that it was being taped and would be used on the video, so that was the reason for her passionate delivery, or if one of her “people” listened to the audio and decided it would be good to use. Was there a teleprompter around when she was talking to Hannity? That would tell us.
If she does NOT announce she is running on September 3, she will be condemned as the ultimate tease and be metaphorically run out of town on a rail. This lady who once claimed she’s wired not to blink has been blinking like crazy for seven months now. To use my dad’s favorite if somewhat crude expression, Time to shit or get off the pot, Sarah.

She can run all she wants, but she won’t win. What she will be successful at is making things ugly and nasty, just like her soul.
I thought she wasn’t going to run. Now I’m not sure. Why? Because if she doesn’t run, I really think she is finished.
There goes the gravy train. If she runs, she will still be getting money in even if she doesn’t win. I don’t think she will win-she has made way too many enemies and a large majority of the public can’t stand her. Yet she either has to try to run or her fans will be furious and all opportunities will disappear. if she runs, she can keep playing the victim and whining about the media. Well we will soon find out, right?
She is not running, never was, she is just trying to push the meme that she remains relevant in politics and should be listened to, so when she finally announces she isn’t running her star won’t fade and her supporters don’t abandon her. And she can keep on grifting and with her Fox gig.
But in following C4P, I’m not so sure her bots are going to accept Queen Sarah announcing she is not running, not matter what excuse she gives. It will sure be interesting once they find out they were taken on a ride.

Can her current PAC produce a campaign ad?
She is still employed by Fox and has been commenting on the current contenders. If she does enter the race, wouldn’t this be a violation of FEC regulations regarding free air time to any candidate?
Look, all she has to do in Iowa is give her usual boilerplate speech with plenty of references to God, patriots, patriotism, heroes, a few direct slams at Obama, and some indirect slams at the Republican candidates. She doesn’t have to commit herself to anything. Her bots will take this as a a sure promise she’s running, because, as we all know, Sarah makes her own rules. She can go home to Wasilla and collect more money for sarahpac and her legal defense fund. And drag this unconsummated lap dance out from here to next March.
She will NEVER launch a campaign for president. This latest video is about staying relevant for as long as she can manage to command even one more ray of the limelight. She has not forgotten how much work it was to be governor of a state, and she wants no more of that. It’s about money, no hard work and adoration of her fans….in that order. She will not abandon the $$ for the work that would be required of her to run a campaign. Plus, she has enough political smarts to know she doesn’t have support of the “Republican Machine” which is still required to have a hope of competing in a presidential election. AND she definitely wants to avoid the scrutiny that would come with such an announcement. Even she can hear the skeletons rattling in her closet.
My prediction…she will announce sometime in September, that for family reasons, she will not be able to run. Then she will endorse Rick Perry (for a price, of course!) We all know he will find a way to channel money her way in exchange for her support. They are made for each other – he’ll be the front man and she’ll do the marketing, which is her forte.
Then she will gas up the bus and head out around the country basking in the limelight while campaigning for Perry. A quick summary of this scenario….Money – Tick; Limelight: Tick; No real work required: Tick. This will meet her requirements for now and what tricks she has up her sleeve after that is anybody’s guess.
How she got this far boggles the mind. Progressives in the US…. I feel your pain, Canada is linked inextricably with the US economy, so we do have a “dog in this fight” too. Just no vote to help out.

She is either running or not running but encouraging people to believe she is running to stay in the media for attention / for money / for political relevance. In both scenarios she will do things that make it look like she is running so I don’t feel like I have learned anything from her releasing this new video.
Were she to visit the upcoming Alaska State Fair I doubt that she’d even have enough excited responses to coddle together 20 seconds of positive video. Iowa, she belongs to you now. Enjoy.
I hope she runs for three reasons:
1.) I want to see how fast the rest of the GOP candidates go for her throat. With numerous blogs and books already out there and Joe and at least two other books coming out soon the amount of material they can feed off it is immense. For Joe, having her announced a mere couple of weeks before his book comes out is perfect. She can start her yammering and then she’s going to get smacked down hard. I look for Joe’s book to elevate the others about her in general and for several bloggers and a book to bring Trig to the forefront. Does anyone thing she’ll get a free pass from MB or Mitt to name two?
2,) Add in the Meghan McCains of the world on the right who are intent on taking her down and she’s going to get blasted there. And let’s not forget her friends at Fox. If the tales of taping, hacking etal are anywhere near true then I’m guessing Fox knows tons of things about her they’ll find a way to share. Once she’s off the Fox payroll does anyone believe she’s still going to be the fair-haired girl?
3.) Anyone else notice the difference in the media coverage between Tour 1 and Tour 2? I hardly know it was going on versus the sideshow of Tour 1.
I think she’ll announce, make headlines for a day or two and then the fighting begins.
If she runs the GOP will crush her.
If she doesn’t run her ‘bots will abandon her and she will fade into obscurity.
That’s what I call a win-win.
So you see, Scarah, ir doesn’t really matter whether you run or not. Either way you’re OVER. Sucks to be you.

I believe the TPTB want Palin in the race. The reason why Michele Bachmann is in the race is so to draw out Palin. Play on a woman’s vanity and eventually she will response. The press claiming that Bachmann would be a better choice over Palin because she is not afraid to talk to them would get to Sarah’s ego and here she comes.
If Palin would to enter the race, it would be the same disaster that occurred in Japan. One, (the earthquake) she will split the Republican party. That is a guarantee. Two, (tsunami) if she would win the nomination, she will guarantee that President Obama will get a second term. Three, (nuclear meltdown) if she is not the nominee and give her endorsement to the GOP nominee, the nominee would have the same poison that prevented Palin from being President.
I think the White House and Obama’s friends are praying on their knees for Palin to get in the race.
When it comes to the “horse race” aspect of politics Rachel is more often wrong than right (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
Therefore….. the grifter is definitely not running. Grifting, maybe!
For once I feel smarter than Rachel Maddow. RM hasn’t wallowed in all-things-Palin as I have these past, three long years. Canadian Bystander (above) said it all better than I can. If Sarah runs, the roof will blow off. Trust me, if she does, it will be because she believes her God has called her to do so, spiting me is not part of the equation.

Seeing Bachmann and Perry getting all the attention is killing the Queen. Already she is showing the kind of campaigner she will be. Sarah will take off the mask completely and be the mean and nasty person that she has tried to hide in the past. There is nothing nice abour Sarah Palin.
Hopefully the press will do its job this time. As any reader here knows, Sarah has many skeletons in her closet and it is the job of a free press to drag them out.

Thank you. Someone who knows Sarah well told me off the record in June that she was not going to run, but that the one thing that could change her mind was if Bachmann started to steal the limelight. That’s just what has happened. The tenth-grade bully in Sarah may now have to chase her off the playground.
As for publication of THE ROGUE a month from tomorrow, yes, the time is right. Crown Publishing made the decision to publish on Sept. 20, 2011 more than a year ago. It was a brilliant decision. I’ll be ready.

Yes, it is a creepy video. Palin obviously does have some money in this. I don’t believe she will run. She is simply too disliked and it would ruin her narrative to actually have her numbers tested.
She’s is not running! Sheesh! Where are the boots on the ground? Where is the staff? Where is the organization? Where is the money? Why did she skip Iowa as a candidate, when that is HER turf and HER audience? Why does a hack like RAM know she’s not running and yet no one else does? (because it’s good ratings for Maddow and good for web clicks?).
Maybe if you call pulling a Trump – “running”, then ok maybe she’ll announce and drop out. But that’s like saying, I signed up for a couple of online classes at the community college so I’m on my way to my Ivy League law degree! It’s just not accurate.

I watched the video and I have to say it would be fantastic if it were reality. I’d love to see a real, down-to-earth, passionate, mom put this country on a better track.
However, having followed Palin closely for over three years, I know she’s a fraud and a phony, a greedy grifter, a liar, an ignoramus with a lazy intellect, and a quitter.
She’s been fortunate in her career and has been able to exploit the opportunities afforded by (1) the corruption of the Republicans in Alaska that propelled her to the governorship, (2) the high price of oil shielding the negative effects of her tenure, and (3) the economic crisis that Obama inherited and that has continued for a number of reasons (including the inability of Obama to enact a big enough stimulus to be effective, the deliberate acts of the GOP to prevent success, and the economies of other countries).
I have to ask myself how Sarah was so fortunate to meet this series of events. Is it God’s will? Then I wonder, why didn’t God just make her competent and caring person instead of creating events that enabled an ignorant incompetent like Sarah to succeed.
I think she has way too much baggage to run for any political office. She won’t have the McCains to cover for her; the public is aware of her many problems, personal and political; she will be vetted this time around and people know what questions they want answered; and I agree with Mercede Johnston, she would have a mental breakdown when all her lies come back to roost — in that hair of hers! What a tangled web she’s woven.

I love Rachel Maddow, but I wish she wouldn’t refer to Sarah, who quit halfway through her term, as “Gov Palin.” I don’t know what bothers me more, “Governor Palin,” or “Dr.” Bachmann. They’re both proven liars who are bent on making America a Dominionist Christian Nation. Will September 3rd be the “screech heard ’round the world?” Time will tell. I’m counting on September 20th. I think that she will delay as long as possible because, above all, Sarah Palin craves attention. If she thinks she’ll lose the media by not announcing, then she will announce her candidacy but – not now, not yet. Sarah Palin wants to save the Republican Party. Remember she’s been compared to Joan of Arc – but I think the young Joan was far smarter than Sarah. Joan told her captors that she would burn if she lied to them because she would burn in hell and she would burn if she told the truth because they would burn her at the stake. She chose the truth. I cannot imagine Sarah Palin feeling compelled, for any reason, to tell the truth.

I really think Sarah’s religious belief is tenuous at best. God is her valet, her “door-opener”, not her lord and master. A narcissist can’t conceive of someone with a higher authority than their own.
Sarah may not run to spite only you, personally, but to give a “middle finger to the haters”. She has wanted to be president since she was on the Wasilla city council. In her mind, she’s millions richer, and has written 2 best-selling books (well, one best-selling book and one not-so-best-selling). The explosiveness of it is not going to be leaked in advance. sp has to have SOME idea of what is in your book right? I can only deduce that if it is even a bit explosive….sp will not be able to maintain under the scrutiny………..and so the pressure is not on you alone, with nick’s documentary also coming out and others who will undoubtedly come forward at their own personal risk…………………and even taking into consideration her vanity and multiple issues, how can she seriously run for president?? I have been one of the thousands going back and forth with the “will she or won’t she run” question. I understand the desire to have her run and see her fail…………..epically!!! And why would she be squeezing her supporters for more and more and more money for sarah pac if she is running? She cannot use sarahpac money for a presidential campaign. If her announcement is imminent, why would she continue asking for money for the pac? She is going to need their money for the campaign if she announces and sadly enough, if you read at c4p, many of the peeps there don’t seem to have very much money, fixed incomes,etc. It just doesn’t make sense to me that she would ask for pac money if she is announcing anytime soon.
And yes, I know, making sense and sp are mutually exclusive.
The big boys have used her for the past 2 1/2 years to keep things on the boil.
But they’ll never give their support, or money, to a drama queen who’s clearly not smart enough to take their directions. Or who might even think she’s got the power to go rogue.

Palin could use the money raised to travel , but, never to advertise herself as a candidate.

I was reading comments on the previous post about the arrest of the Christys when this post about the SarahPac video came up. Having made the transition here, I quite frankly see only a modicum of difference between the Christys’ unhinged phone calls and Sarah Palin’s polarizing utterances during the 2008 election and since her resignation as AK governor in 2009.
At the outset I should note that Craig and Shawn Christy must be held accountable for their behavior; apparently that process is taking place, and rightly so. Yet what about Mrs. Palin? When, or how, will she be held accountable for her own reprehensible behavior? Think about the invective Sarah Palin has hurled on Facebook posts and in Tweets, and during Fox News appearances, the TLC reality show, the “One Nation” tour, and paid speeches (in this country and abroad). I ask: Aren’t her deliberately provocative statements the equivalent of obscene phone calls–to the President of the United States, to her perceived “enemies” (by now too numerous to name), and to our national polity?
With the Christys and with Palin we’re witnessing forms of sickness. Unfortunately, the Christys are isolated and cornered–indeed, paranoid–having no social or legal support system to validate their grievances, which may in fact spring from a seed of truth but which have since escalated into unfocussed, uncontrollable rage. In contrast, a cooly sociopathic Palin has relied upon a host of codependents that she cleverly manipulates at every turn: supporters who are themselves deranged, media who pander to her every whim for “news value,” and blogs (both pro- and anti-Palin) that produce a daily, nearly obesessive stream of commentary on her every move. All have provided ample fuel to sustain her blatant grifting, her sense of victimhood, her narcissistic teasing about whether-she-will-whether-she-won’t launch a presidential run.
The question remains: When will Sarah Palin, like the Craig and Shawn Christy, become such an object of disdain that she is stopped in her tracks? Geoffrey Dunn and Frank Bailey have made valiant efforts toward that end with their books. Perhaps Joe McGinniss will deliver the coup de grace. Hope springs eternal, to coin a phrase :-).

I watched as much of her self-promotion as I could, and then felt sick that she went to Iowa having this all in place. Her interactions with the people were not genuine, but a play for the camera. Sickening.

I read quite a chilling comment over there one day when they were speculating on whether or not she would run. I can’t remember the wording exactly but it had a very threatening tone towards Palin if she didn’t run. I don’t think she realises that these people could really turn on her in an instant.
